I was very upset to see one of my favorite animals on the endangered species list. The Marine Otter is one of the most overlooked endangered animals there are.

Are all endangered animals protected?
The answer to that question is no. The Otter was unprotected for a while, but now are legally protected. Even with that though, no laws are enforced. Poachers still poach and will must likely not get caught or punished.
Poachers are not their only enemy though. Many of the Marine Otters are killed by sharks, Orcas, and even sea birds.
